Here is a really simple and effective mantra (meditation tool) to say to yourself when you are practicing deep breathing exercises in prep for labour.
Sit in a quiet comfortable position with a relaxed open jaw at a wall for support or in bed with pillows. Close your eyes and take a big inhale through your nostrils & into your belly, filling it like a balloon and say to yourself "I breath in I open" as you exhale slowly through your mouth say to yourself "I breathe out I release" .
Your baby will be born in a profound state of letting go - be comfortable with this feeling of release. Practice 3-5 rounds of this simple breathing exercise every night to aid in feeling relaxed and at ease with the upcoming birth of your baby.
